8 Sentence Sunday #24

Posted Sep 1 2013, 7:00 am in , , , ,

It’s been a long summer. I haven’t participated in #8sunday since the release of A Good Time, but that’s because I’ve been working on other books. Plus, the kids have been home, so you know…

Anyway, it’s great to be back. In case you didn’t know, the 3rd O’Leary book, Something to Prove, has an awesome hot cover and blurb. I’m going to give you snippets of Colin and Elizabeth’s story–

Why the hell would Dad own a biker bar?

Elizabeth glanced up at the rusty sign, The Irish Pub. It didn’t look much like anything Irish. She pushed through the door and a cloud of smoke smacked into her lungs. Chicago was supposed to be smoke-free. Didn’t the manager know this? That alone was fine-worthy. Trying to keep her breaths shallow to avoid inhaling too much smoke, she walked toward the bar, hoping to find someone in charge.

And so begins Elizabeth’s adventure in Chicago. In the upcoming weeks, you’ll get to see Colin and Elizabeth get together.
