8 Sentence Sunday #23

Posted Oct 5 2014, 7:30 am in , , , , ,

Continuing from Her Perfect Game, this scene is in Jonah’s POV. He is also Win, Charlie’s in-game friend, but she doesn’t know it. This scene happens after he has played the game with Charlie and she invites him to join her at the convention (like Comic Con).

He couldn’t go to the con to meet Charlie. She’d be pissed to find out who he was, and he’d lose this—her—again. In the game, they were perfect together. They fought side by side. When they disagreed, they fought each other, but the anger never lasted. They’d learned to listen to each other.

So different than three years ago. Back then, neither of them had listened.
